Below, I’m sharing my story so you can get to know me a bit more and I look forward to meeting you soon.
My Story
I grew up on a farm in a small village near Opoczno, Poland. My days were spent driving a tractor, milking cows, and tending to the animals.
At school, I excelled in Maths and English. My English teacher had lived in London and would tell us stories about the city and all of its glory, it was during my time at school that I fell in love with the English language and longed to live in England.
I wanted to go to England to learn English, come back to Poland and become an English teacher to inspire the next generation the same way that my teacher inspired me.
My first home in England was in Norfolk, a beautiful town surrounded by countryside. I studied English A-level and worked in a Nursing Home, which was a perfect chance to practice speaking English.
Little did I know that slang wasn't taught in the classroom, so it was almost like re-learning the English language all over again! When a lady told me her knee was giving her Jip, I had no idea that she meant her knee was aggravating her. After a while working there, I found the job emotionally draining and found it hard to switch off. Caring for the elderly suffering from dementia and Alzheimer’s was a tough job, I needed to move to a role where I could continue to grow my skills.
And that is what I did, by moving into more office-based roles in hospitality and customer service. I was beginning to feel I was on the right path.
I loved problem-solving and helping others. I dared to dream big and wanted to inspire others to do the same. I’ve always kept my roots in Poland, my family is still there and I own property and land there, but after 17 years of citizenship in the UK, England is my home.
Soon, I began working in property management where I would source properties for property investors, then I have started my Will Writing, and this is where I am today, working toward the STEP certification to become TEP qualified. I protect client assets through will writing as well as protecting their loved ones. Everything I have learned over the years has led me to this destination.
So, who am I? I am driven and passionate. I aim to inspire others, just like my English teacher inspired me back in high school.
My favourite saying, which I have lived my life by, is to dream more, learn more, do more and become more. I love coffee, cooking and fast cars (not all at the same time!).
I spend my free time walking in the beautiful English countryside. I choose not to own a TV, believing that all I need to know is surrounding me.
Another of my favourite quotes is from Ziad K. Abdelnour “Be strong enough to stand alone, smart enough to know when you need help, and brave enough to ask for it.”
What does the future hold? Plenty of travel, meeting new people, sharing my experiences, perhaps, overcoming my fear of heights by doing a bungee jump for charity! Watch this space!
